What we collect

Nothing.

The Markdown app does not collect, transmit, or store any personal information.

What the app accesses

The app reads files from folders that you explicitly select via the iOS system folder picker (UIDocumentPickerViewController). Once you pick a folder:

• The app reads .md and .markdown files inside that folder so it can render them on screen.
• The app reads images referenced from those markdown files — for example, ![alt](./photos/foo.jpg).
• All reading happens on your device. Nothing is sent over the network.

The app does not:

• Collect analytics
• Display advertising
• Communicate with third-party servers
• Have user accounts
• Sync your data anywhere (iCloud Drive sync, if any, is handled by Apple's iCloud Drive — not by this app)

Permissions

When you tap Select Folder or Add Folder, iOS shows you the system folder picker. You decide which folder the app can access. You can revoke access at any time by removing the folder inside the app, or by deleting the app itself.

The app uses Apple's security-scoped bookmark API to remember your folder choice across launches. The bookmark lives only on your device.

Data sharing

We do not share data with third parties because we do not collect data.
